Singers from the famed Opera Holland Park were on key recently to raise vital funds in aid of UK charity Hearing Link.

The group showcased a stunning repertoire of songs by some of the greatest opera composers of all time at the Birley Centre, Eastbourne, on Sunday 9 November.

‘A Night at the Opera’ was raising money for Hearing Link, a UK charity that provides information and support for individuals with hearing loss, their families and friends.

The organisation, which has offices at Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne, makes it easy for people to connect with others who have similar experiences.

Katrina Hodges, Head of Fundraising at Hearing Link, said, “This was a fabulous evening and we are very grateful to James Clutton and his Opera Holland Park team for putting their exceptional vocal talents on show for us. Thanks also go to our guests who attended on the night. The feedback I have received has been quite remarkable, with the event clearly exceeding all expectations.”

Stephen Lloyd MP and Hearing Link Patron, said, “I was delighted to attend Hearing Links opera fundraiser at the Birley Centre. The performers from Opera Holland Park were outstanding. I have been involved with Hearing Link for over 20 years and rate them very highly. They are a leading national charity for people who are hearing impaired based in Eastbourne and I know that every penny raised by this excellent operatic event will be spent wisely."
