Hearing Dogs for Deaf People creates life-changing partnerships by training dogs to alert deaf people to sounds and danger signals, thereby providing independence and confidence. Applications are invited for the positions of Puppy Training Instructor. This position will be based in and around Newbury and Basingstoke 

The role involves actively recruiting and retaining new volunteer socialisers, working with the Charity’s existing Puppy Trainers, providing help and support with the welfare and training of the dogs and puppies, monitoring and recording the progress of the dogs and puppies and making decisions as to which dogs are suitable for advanced training. 

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate practical and theoretical experience in this area and preferably be educated to degree level or equivalent in the relevant subject area. Applicants must enjoy driving and have good communication skills.
