Hearing Dogs for Deaf People creates life-changing partnerships by training dogs to alert deaf people to everyday sounds and danger signals in the home, at work and in public buildings –providing independence and confidence. It is the biggest charity of its kind in the world.  We are committed to be the best in our field with the determination to be the centre of excellence for this unique work.

To significantly increase awareness of our work, we need an experienced Media and Campaigns Officer to support national and regional Media Relations and Campaigns Strategy – across a wide range of broadcast, print and online media.

The Media and Campaigns Officer will handle enquiries from the media, write press releases, research and place stories and case studies, assist in the production of digital content, liaise with journalists and photographers/filmmakers and be a part of event organisation team.

Working closely with other members of the Communications team, the role will also be responsible for assisting with administrative tasks such as media targeting, in-depth media analysis and clear presentation of media and campaign results.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering impressive results.  You will have excellent organisational and writing skills, enthusiasm and be a confident team player. You will be at ease communicating with a wide variety of people and have interest in, and experience of, working with disabled people and the charitable sector.
