This American sign language video (also subtitled) was shared by ADWAS (abused Deaf women’s advocacy services) and is first official public service announcement from the Engaging Men Project (EMP). The video was created during the first Deaf men’s weekend retreat and the purpose is to introduce the EMP of Deaf men coming together as allies to ending violence against Deaf women in Washington.

The EMP vision
To engage Deaf & hard of hearing men as allies in ending violence against women through the fostering and creating of opportunities for men to have safe and efficient dialogue(s) with one another as men that creates a positive ripple effect to other men in the Deaf community.
